How odd, I can have all this inside me
and to you it’s just words.

Thus, the logic of the feminist argument to “Teach men not to rape” is revealed.

Yes because it’s such a radical notion to expect rapists to control themselves.

Uh, we do tell thieves not to rob, though. We actually spend a lot of energy teaching kids that stealing is wrong. We keep trying to teach them it’s wrong through their teens and adult years.
And when someone gets robbed? Cops don’t ask them if their front door was locked. They don’t ask them if they invited the thief into their house and maybe said the thief was free to take things before changing their mind the next day. And this is true even though sometimes people do get robbed by folks they invite in under false pretenses.
Cops and lawyers and judges don’t work together to make people who get robbed feel like crap for not installing extra security systems or putting bars on their windows. They don’t use people’s former history of inviting neighbors in and letting them borrow stuff to argue that they had no right to expect someone to respect their property. The media doesn’t talk about how the thief’s promising life was ruined by their victim’s decision to prosecute.
Your metaphor is bad and you should feel bad.

we joke about procrastination but nothing is worse than the nauseating feeling of having every intention of doing something but physically not being capable of doing it and then feeling like you want to throw up because the deadline is just getting closer and closer.

Ahead of Toronto’s upcoming municipal elections, Ward 2 candidate Munira Abukar has been the target of racial hatred and vandalism. City councillors, members of the public, and other candidates have outwardly shown support for her on Twitter, including mayoral candidate Olivia Chow (who has herself been the target of racism and threats of violence on a large scale).

#IStandWithMunira trended city-wide last night, and you can donate to her campaign here to help replace the signs and pictures that have been destroyed. x

“The worst thing to call somebody is crazy. It’s dismissive…’I don’t understand this person, so they’re crazy.’ That’s bullshit.”

I’ve probably reblogged this before but its just really, really true

Listen to me, your body is not a temple. Temples can be destroyed and desecrated. Your body is a forest—thick canopies of maple trees and sweet scented wildflowers sprouting in the under wood. You will grow back, over and over, no matter how badly you are devastated.

You know how people always say that we (Americans) learn about the Holocaust in public school because it was a white people killing white people genocide? And then they use that to point to the fact that our education system/curriculum is painfully inadequate at showing non-western European…

***ATTENTION*** This is the latest anti-Semitic/ racist salute. It was first claimed to be anti Zionist but has escalated to anti-Jewry and anti-semitism all around. If you see anyone doing this salute called the/a “Quenelle” swiftly punch them in the face, scold them, whatever you feel like, just recognize that this is a symbol of hatred!

[AGGRESSIVELY WANTS EVERY KITTEN IN THE WORLD]

‘Men get raped and molested,’ should be a whole sentence. If you have to tack on the word ‘too,’ then you’re using the experience of male victims to silence females instead of giving them their own space.

Not sure if I’ve reblogged this before but it always bears repeating.

If the only time you talk about male rape survivors is when you are interrupting women and non-binary people talking about sexual assault statistics and their own experiences, don’t pretend you give a shit about male rape survivors.
